Comments Concerning Proposed United States-Andean Free Trade Agreement
Vogt presents two cases of US multinational corporations that benefit from violence against unionists in Colombia. He argues that a trade agreement with Colombia would normalize the violence instead of fight against it
NNLO Time-like Splitting Functions in QCD
We review the status of the calculation of the time-like splitting functions
for the evolution of fragmentation functions to the next-to-next-to-leading
order in perturbative QCD. By employing relations between space-like and
time-like deep-inelastic processes, all quark-quark and the gluon-gluon
time-like splitting functions have been obtained to three loops. The
corresponding quantities for the quark-gluon and gluon-quark splitting at this
order are presently still unknown except for their second Mellin moments.Comment: 4 pages LaTeX, proceedings of the DIS 2008 Workshop, 7-11 April 2008,

Design for Low-Cost Country Sourcing: Motivation, Basic Principles and Design Guidelines
Organised by: Cranfield UniversityNot every product can be successfully sourced in low-cost countries. Disadvantageous cost structures or
extremely complex workpiece designs are the most frequent reasons for failures. A design that has been
tailored to low-cost country sourcing offers the possibility of increasing potentials while reducing risks and
costs at the same time. The wbk Institute of Production Science at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) developed
a new approach which ensures that the product design meets the requirements of the supplier. This paper
identifies the factors influencing the design, deduces basic principles and illustrates guidelines for an
adapted product design.Mori Seiki – The Machine Tool Compan
On Multipolar Analytical Potentials for Galaxies
We present analytical potential-density pairs in three dimensions for the
gravitational field of galaxies, obtained by thickening the multipolar
expansion up to the quadrupole term. These may be interpreted as
generalizations of the Miyamoto and Nagai potential-density pairs. With a
suitable restriction on the possible values of the multipole moments, the
density distributions are positive and monotone decreasing functions of the
radial and axial coordinates
Triaxial Analytical Potential-Density Pairs for Galaxies
We present two triaxial analytical potential-density pairs that can be viewed
as generalized versions of the axisymmetric Miyamoto and Nagai and Satoh
galactic models. These potential-density pairs may be useful models for
galaxies with box-shaped bulges. The resulting mass density distributions are
everywhere non-negative and free from singularities. Also, a few numerically
calculated orbits for the Miyamoto and Nagai-like triaxial potential are
presented.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in PAS
